Catching fire page 122 ( I might have lost my copy of it )

I think catching fire is as good as hunger games. Sadly as I said in the title I might have lost my copy. Catching fire is a great book because of its setting, time period, and government. It is spread out in north america. It is after a post apocalyptic type event. Panem is a country with a very oppressive government. It is supposedly the last area of humans. I love sci-fi movies and futuristic movies the best. Catching fire and hunger games would fall into the futuristic book and movie. So that is why it is perfect for me. When the old man was shot before the rebellion I felt like I had witnessed it myself. Books are only worth reading if you live in the book. When you live in a book it is like you are locked in another world. If you are locked in another world then you cant come back to reality unless someone unlocks the lock and pulls you out. When you dont live in the book then the book is not serving its purpose to entertain and to make your imagination run in every direction you imagination can think of. If this is the case for the book you are reading then I pity you because it is like you are trying to understand how to get into the world the author has created but your mind will not let you enter. I think catching fire is one of the rare sequels that are as good as the first book in the series because of how the author creates a world that is very clear so you can experience that world easily.

Catching fire

I loved hunger games so much I had to read catching fire which I heard was better then the actual hunger games. So far my favorite character would be katniss because of how she deals with thing. She always comes up with the smartest ideas and will risk everything just to make her plan work. She is a survivor. She know how to survive through people and in the wild. However sometimes this is not very good because she will backstab people to save her family. Katniss in this book is the reasoning person and the one that makes all the decisions. This may not make sense because you would the the president makes all the decisions but, I will explain. Everyone tries to persuade Katniss to make a decision. An example would be when the president asked her to calm everyone down over the mid-year tour or a rebellion would start up. If she does not do what he says then the president will execute her family and friends. It is a heavily influenced decision but, it is her choice. She can decide to destroy the government of Panem and lose her family or Panem will stay in power and Katniss's family will stay alive.

Hunger games

THE HUNGER GAMES

Date:1/24/12

This week I read the first book in the Hunger Games. I can tell this is going to be on of my favorite books. I enjoy the tenseness of it. When I read the Hunger games I notice I get very tense because when I finish reading for a while I feel myself relax. It is really easy to continue read it. Hunger games is easy to pick up hard to put down. One time I even forgot I had homework to do when I was reading it. I ended up doing my homework but after I picked it up again before bedtime and read until it was late in the night. I read the Hunger Games because I can see everything that goes on clearly. How strange the people look at the capitol of Panem to people from district 12, how amazing the tribute train is, and the run down district 12. I like the Sci-Fi future genre. Whether it is a movie or a book I still like the genre. Generally everyone likes this topic. A version of the Sci-fi future genre is the Zombie Apocalypse. I know most people like movies or books about the zombie apocalypse. This Topic is perfect for me because I enjoy experiencing this book. The seeing and feeling that comes from this book. So far best book I have ever read.
