Catching fire page 122 ( I might have lost my copy of it )

I think catching fire is as good as hunger games. Sadly as I said in the title I might have lost my copy. Catching fire is a great book because of its setting, time period, and government. It is spread out in north america. It is after a post apocalyptic type event. Panem is a country with a very oppressive government. It is supposedly the last area of humans. I love sci-fi movies and futuristic movies the best. Catching fire and hunger games would fall into the futuristic book and movie. So that is why it is perfect for me. When the old man was shot before the rebellion I felt like I had witnessed it myself. Books are only worth reading if you live in the book. When you live in a book it is like you are locked in another world. If you are locked in another world then you cant come back to reality unless someone unlocks the lock and pulls you out. When you dont live in the book then the book is not serving its purpose to entertain and to make your imagination run in every direction you imagination can think of. If this is the case for the book you are reading then I pity you because it is like you are trying to understand how to get into the world the author has created but your mind will not let you enter. I think catching fire is one of the rare sequels that are as good as the first book in the series because of how the author creates a world that is very clear so you can experience that world easily.

Catching fire

I loved hunger games so much I had to read catching fire which I heard was better then the actual hunger games. So far my favorite character would be katniss because of how she deals with thing. She always comes up with the smartest ideas and will risk everything just to make her plan work. She is a survivor. She know how to survive through people and in the wild. However sometimes this is not very good because she will backstab people to save her family. Katniss in this book is the reasoning person and the one that makes all the decisions. This may not make sense because you would the the president makes all the decisions but, I will explain. Everyone tries to persuade Katniss to make a decision. An example would be when the president asked her to calm everyone down over the mid-year tour or a rebellion would start up. If she does not do what he says then the president will execute her family and friends. It is a heavily influenced decision but, it is her choice. She can decide to destroy the government of Panem and lose her family or Panem will stay in power and Katniss's family will stay alive.

Hunger games

THE HUNGER GAMES

Date:1/24/12

This week I read the first book in the Hunger Games. I can tell this is going to be on of my favorite books. I enjoy the tenseness of it. When I read the Hunger games I notice I get very tense because when I finish reading for a while I feel myself relax. It is really easy to continue read it. Hunger games is easy to pick up hard to put down. One time I even forgot I had homework to do when I was reading it. I ended up doing my homework but after I picked it up again before bedtime and read until it was late in the night. I read the Hunger Games because I can see everything that goes on clearly. How strange the people look at the capitol of Panem to people from district 12, how amazing the tribute train is, and the run down district 12. I like the Sci-Fi future genre. Whether it is a movie or a book I still like the genre. Generally everyone likes this topic. A version of the Sci-fi future genre is the Zombie Apocalypse. I know most people like movies or books about the zombie apocalypse. This Topic is perfect for me because I enjoy experiencing this book. The seeing and feeling that comes from this book. So far best book I have ever read.

Septimus Heap book 5 Syren

Septimus Heap:book 5, Syren

Date: tuesday december 6

This week I read septimus heap again. It was good like usual. I am at page 459. I have about 40 pages left. That means one more after this one about septimus. I intend to read the next book darke the last book in the Septimus Heap series. I must be prepared for a new series or book because during the summer when I am in colorado my average is 100 pages a day. I decided I would look to see if there was any other books by Angie Sage. Sadly the only other books she wrote are child books called Araminta Spooke. I wish she had some other books. I am thinking about rereading a series that I read. I dont have my kindle with me right now so I dont know what the series is called. I plan on rereading that series. I remember that it was almost as good as the Septimus Heap series. I have also never found a really good Science Fiction book ever. I have read so many medival books that I think it is time for a change. That change does not have to be science fiction. I hear that the hunger games series is really good. I am 99% sure that I am going to read that next. However If you have any good ideas for a series you think I might like please comment your idea.

Septimus Heap: Book 5,Syren

First off I just want to say it is so sad when I click save draft to local and then blogpress would not work so I deleted it then redownloaded it and the post I made earlier was gone. :( Now for the real blogpost. This week I wanted to do a little something on Septimus Heap. Describe who he is. You did not know for sure who was Septimus Heap in the first book Magyk. Septimus Heap is now a charactor that I clearly know. He went from mysterious to you know everything about him over the 5 books. Septimus is a perfect main charactor because he is very adventurous and is so kind that he will get himself wrapped up in someone else's quest. He is also very caring because he cares about his dragon, his sister jenna, beetle, and the rest of his friends and family. An example of how much he cares is that in Syren Septimus has just left his dragon, Spit Fyre's side and yet I am almost done with the book. Septimus has changed a lot from the first book Magyk. He is a leader most of all. He always is leading the adventures. From the war with Simon in Flyte to trying to get off the islands of Syren in Syren. Septimus is a great main character because he is a leader, he changes, he is adventurous, kind, and caring.

Septimus Heap: Book 5, Syren

Septimus Heap: Book 5, Syren

Date:november 10, 2011

On monday I read Septimus Heap: Book 5, Syren. I read a ton and I will continue to read this book. Septimus Heap is a perfect book for me. It involves magic, medival times, and emotion. This book really puts me in the zone. I remeber reading this book and then the plane landed and I suddenly woke up. It was like I was in a dream. I feel like I am apart of this story. I feel like I am septimus. It is really easy to make this book really cheesy. But they really made the problems feel like they were problems of your own. After I read a chapter where DomDaniel took over the castle I walked out of my room feeling like how I did when I lost my most loved stuffed animal in 2nd grade. I was not crying but I had a heavy heart. The Septimus Heap series is not just one story, it is stories completely different from one another. Magyk was about an evil wizard named DomDaniel took over the castle and the heroes finally took it back. Flyte was about Septimus's brother Simon who took over the castle like DomDaniel. Physik was about septimus going back in time and becoming a famous alchemist named marcellus pye. Queste was about Septimus going on the dreaded Queste. He was the first person to return from the Queste and saw what it was. Syren is about how Septimus gets trapped on the islands of syren. This book has also been read by Graham and he loves it as well. I will definatly finish this series.

Return of Sherlock Holmes

The Return of Sherlock Holmes

Currently at page:21

Reading on Ipad

Sherlock Holmes is a great book of course. It is such an amazing book that 221B baker street is a house that people are not aloud to buy. However you may think that Sherlock Holmes is always great. Well really it is not amazing. I think this book right now is okay for the first 21 pages at least. The book just goes on and on about the case Sherlock is currently on. It doesn't really talk about him or has a lot of action. I like it because of how interesting the mystery is and because of it's reputation. If it was not for those two things I would have immediately put the book down it would bore me so much. It is nothing like the movie at all. The movie is full of action and not like the actual Sherlock Holmes At all. At some points I think this book is not even Sherlock Holmes because you barely ever see the name "Sherlock Holmes" ever in the book. I would give this book 2 and a half stars. Maybe I should read the other books first before I read this one. I like to however switch up my books every week meaning like read one book one week then the next week I read a different one. The week after that I would go back to the first book. So I don't even think I should be reading this right now. Maybe I should just go to the store and get the other ones in real copy before I start reading this. I am saying this because Sherlock Holmes just found Watson again and aparently Watson fell into an abyss and everyone thought he died. Watson never fell into an Abyss in this book. I hope the other ones have more action or the next chapter will be better. I hope other people like the other books a lot better.
